  • Definir la dureza de la Roca. La herramienta más simple y fiable a usar para medir la dureza de la roca es un rayador de dureza en la escala de Mohns. Evite usar navajas.

  • Definir el grado de abrasividad y estabilidad del terreno. Las formaciones o terrenos que son abrasivos, fracturados o compactos incidirán en la selección y desempeño de la corona.
